I like reading their stories. I wish you f&^%ers hadn't chased them away so fast.

LOL, considering how the original Bumfuzzle thread was going a few years back I don't blame you. I was one of your big fans Pat, and will always admire what you guys accomplished.

I ran into Charles Kanter a few years ago and inquired about his survey on your Wildcat. He didn't have much to say. I came to the conclusion right then and there that I won't be using a surveyor on my next boat either...

May you have fair winds and following seas.

FWIW: I wish you a&^%#oles wouldn't refer to other CF members as "f&^%ers".

If the shoe fits. I liked reading their posts too, and I also don't blame them for not wanting to expend the energy defending themselves on this site. I tried to contact them on their website, but didn't see any contact information. If anyone could direct me on how to email Bumfuzzle I would appreciate the info!

On their website -- top right corner. Click on "contact." An Outlook Express box pops up that has their email address. That's how I contacted them.

Yeah I hope I don't come across as negative in regards to "I don't think I'd have much in common with you." I wouldn't have much in common with a US Senator or a tug boat captain either when you get right down to it (barring sharing some common interests which probably aren't there). I think there's some factoid out there that you make the median income of your five closest friends. It's not rocket science; you have the most in common with people in your social strata.

I think (for me) what came across as negative was the rest of the post that came along with "I don't think I'd have much ...", such as:

Quote:
I have to admit, it is hard watching people toss money around like it's no big thing (and then ask for donations on their website as well, if I remember correctly?).
and

In my little watery world, I have the most in common with people who love to sail and work on their boats, neither of which seem to be the case with the crew of bumfuzzle.
As for US Senators and tub boat captains, they aren't usually found posting on a cruisers forum so I don't see the connection.

Good for you mate! I have only just recently joined this site so I don't know the full history but I can tell you that upping and going for it is basically what it is all about. You'll never, never know if you never, never go!

We have, and will all continue to make mistakes, I know that I have. That is called experience!

Good luck to you and your family!

Well said, I just didn't think that dimwits, for instance, had the same punch.

I wasn’t criticizing the use of any particular insult; but the practise of personally insulting each other AT ALL.
We, at CF, are not in that habit. In fact, it’s not allowed.
We debate ideas, not people.

This thread is so sad.
We are supposed to be supportive of a community we wish to be part of.
Bumfuzzles, I am broke, disabled, and I don't have a boat yet. I am still in the stage of trying to figure a way to just go. I would be pleased to someday have a taco and a cup of coffee with you, even tho we are very different!
Go for it!
Speak no word intended to make a brother sad or in attack on a member of the community.
