What'd You Do to Your Boat Today ?

Me,today I am working on the outside hull polishing.
A clean boat is a happy boat

Re: What'd you to your boat today?

I'm thinking about what I'd like to have done to my boat today, but it's 700 miles away in Mexico waiting for me to return with a suitcase of parts to bring it home!!

I thought about mine a little. It is suppose to be warm in a couple of days (45 F) so am thinking of paying it a visit.

Brought home the aeration fittings for my holding tank. To clean them up, lots of fun!

Re: What'd you to your boat today?

Cleaned out the cooler, filled up the stove, screwed in some risers for the settee seats, aired out the v-berth, trimmed out a shelf, researched different main sheet arrangements, scratched my melon whilst engaged in flux compass research, measured and dreamed about re-cutting an old sail and rigging up some wire for a mizzen stays'l. Normal odds, ends, cleaning, fixing, and notions. Hrmm, seems about time for a rum and a feet-up methinks.

Re: What'd you to your boat today?

Ho hum, another day of working on other peoples boats. I guess that would be raising funds for my next project. I did finish my current projects so I set sail tomorrow to deliver them. Seems like I work on others on about a 3 to 1 ration to mine.

Re: What'd you to your boat today?

It's gray and windy and grim here in KW today, wind rattling the internal halyards, howling people's generators. We put up a fiddle for one of the storage shelves in the aft stbd quarterberth, installed heavy hooks to hold computer bags (that were previously and annoyingly stowed under the salon table), filled and treated water tanks, installed small cup hooks and a bungee to hold the galley trash can in place, cleaned the soles in the hulls, and sorted "stuff" for stowage more neatly in the aft starboard QB. We're waiting for weather and messing with the trim, shifting heavy things aft and portside to eliminate the slight list to the galley-side (starboard) that she has when stores are aboard. Since we're cruising now, stores will be aboard in oscillating amounts. Since the port hull has the head (wide open spaces) and the navstation and our son's cabin, the starboard hull tends to collect more supplies and the aft QB tends to become storage... by eliminating some of our "stuff," and redistributing compact heavy things, trim can be improved.
