Re: What'd You Do to Your Boat Today ?
Today, I just looked out the window at the boat. It's still there.

Re: What'd You Do to Your Boat Today ?
Found two gaping holes in the back of my anchor locker. Poor workmanship which is the likely culprit of leaks into the forward cabin when sailing in a seaway. Of course this means I know what I'll be doing on my boat tomorrow. :-(

Emptied the water tanks, ready to be painted with that rubberised paint they use inside water tanks here...
Well, I didn't, the carpenter did it for us...

Re: What'd You Do to Your Boat Today ?
I am still awaiting answer to whether they will fix it or write it off.
Its 700 miles away, So I cant even look at it.
In this thread there are 3 boats, 700 miles away from owners,
So I went and had a look at some new anchors,
Found out the difference between a Super Sarca and a Sarca Excell,
Both excellent anchors, Set and forget type anchors, Just what I need,
A no 7 Super Sarca is right up my alley, got to have one of those,
And made in good old OZ,
I want my Baby back in one peice,
Cheers,
Brian,

Re: What'd You Do to Your Boat Today ?
The boat's on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. If I were living aboard, which I was until a few weeks ago but am now back in Thailand, I wouldn't be doing much since its winter. But every couple days I do have to empty the urine container for our composting toilet.
Well, you asked.

Re: What'd You Do to Your Boat Today ?
I bought a Smart Plug for my shore power connection at the Seattle Boat Show yesterday.
I'll install it today if it stops raining.

Re: What'd You Do to Your Boat Today ?
Yesterday was the day I've been waiting for all winter long - that one 60* day in Jan.
I fired up the salamander to get the garage up to 70* and layed up a fibreglass patch on the inside of the hull where water under a holding tank had caused delamination.
I also installed depth and speed transducers, plus finished up the complete overhaul of the electrical system.
Today I'll clean up the mess inside the boat, take the o/b in for a major overhaul, do some small gel coat repairs to the outside of the cabin and deck; the go to work at 6pm.
Yeah, I'm obsessed.

I can't do anything as away at work, but phoned home to tell the GF to get her ass into gear and get the new leather cover stitched on to the wheel, so I guess I have done something

Sounds to me that when you get home .............. you can plan on having a leather cover to stitch!
This thread has make me feel so bad that since is it going to be warm today I HAVE to go to the boat instead of working!
