What whould you do

Ohoy sailors

Next year my new lifestyle kicks off but im so unsure what is the best move in regards of work vs sailtime.
Just wanted to put my dilemma out here and see what you guys whould do

I work at a deepsea trawler in the north sea and work 5 weeks on and 5 weeks off.

Its a fairly well paid job so i could take 2 trips at sea and cruise the rest of the year with about 4000usd every month but then i whould miss out on 70000usd and thats never fun, especially when i invest most of my money for the future and for my son.

I was hoping to start out the first year in the bahamas and to travel from norway to bahamas every 5 weeks wil be real shitty in the long run and i dont know if its hard to find good and safe places to leave the boat for 5 weeks at a time.

Maybe work as much as i can during hurricane season and sail the rest

All innputs whould be greatly apriciated

why not keep the boat in one of the mid Atlantic islands like the Azores, Canaries or Cape Verdes?

I have thought about it but i just cant shake the feeling like its camping in my backyard and want to get further out there if it makes sense.I lived in thailand for a few years but other than that asia is mostly unexplored for me and i have been to the bahamas a few times on some cruise ships but bahamas and caribbean is also mostly unexplored so thats why i feel it calling for me
