3M adhesive remover. It works for plastic.

I was not addressing the OP, but the previous post, which was giving bad information. If you don't believe me, try it yourself and report back in a year.

Well, then you are clueless and have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Mineral spirits are one of the only solvents approved for use on polycarbonate as it has no effect at all on the material.

You’re talking about plexiglass. The OP was (if I can remember all this time later) talking about polycarbonate.

Get your facts straight before you try to “correct” accurate information.

Do you think I made my post from NOT having used it and NOT having invented the power tool assistance technique to make it go faster?

I’ve done this for like 3 years now, multiple times a year on my polycarbonate windows. It’s the only solvent approved for use on polycarbonate by the manufacturer.

You don’t have the first clue what you’re talking about. Yet you start “correcting “ good posts?

I assumed you could read the post by er9 just above my first post. Obviously that was asking too much before your coffee.

You could very well be right about me, personally
However, your information is wrong about mineral spirits and polycarbonate.

Re: Super Sticky tape residue on plexi and glass

I just found this thread. DO NOT use acetone on polycarbonate! I read someplace about this, and tried it: place a small piece of it across two pieces of wood and test it with a hammer. You'll find it impossible to break. Then splash a bit of acetone on it, put down the acetone, and immediately try the hammer. The polycarbonate will break like glass! I was seriously amazed. I don't know if the effect is permanent.
