Seeking Info re: Marinas, Boat yards and Marine Services in Brunswick GA
We are planning to move North from Miami with our Alberg 35 and need to do a haul out, electrical, deck and plumbing rehab on her before we go cruising. If anyone has some suggestions as to which yards and marinas they would recommend or NOT recommend, all information will be appreciated...Thanks

If you just want an old style yard, some derelict boats, a little junky, but free to "do your stuff" and near to what you need, the yard just North of the A1A bridge in Ft Pierce isnt bad. Riverside Marina... it's on the west side of the ICW, North of Ft Pierce marina and North of Harbortown. Friendly and they pretty much ignore what you're up to....
EDIT: NEVER MIND.... I missed the GA part and focused on the moving north part!

Brunswick Landing Marina. Stayed their a couple of months, had friends keep their boat there a couple of years.
Reasonable prices, clean showers, friendly and helpful staff, docks in good shape. I would go back.
Didn't use the services but there was a boat yard next door, going up river.

The best in the south, Thunderbolt Marina in Thunderbolt GA, just south of Savannah on the intercoastal.

Brunswick Landing is a nice marina - We spent a month there last year. I would NOT recommend their yard though.
We've been happy with St. Mary's Boat Services just a few hours (by boat) south. You can use their contractors or DIY. It's a little ways out of town, no stores close by and nothing much in walking distance so you'll need a car. Good rates and friendly people. We did our full refit there (in fact our boat is still in the yard. We're planning to launch next month).

It's not Brunswick, but fairly close: in Jacksonville, consider Sadler Point Marina; good services, allow diy too.
Sadler Point Marina
Did a good bit of work there this past winter, some diy, some yard services. All good. Walk to supermarket, large shopping center, etc. Good people.
