So... old white men. Sounds about right. As any walk around the docks will confirm.

Who wasted money on this?

Don’t we all know the facts in this market research? The only thing that surprised me is the median age of the boat owner is only six years different from the median age of the population. That means it basically is the population.

For as long as I can remember I’ve always been the youngest guy at the marina. But only recently has this started to change. But for the last 30 years I have been the youngest guy.

The marine industry - looking for where their money will come from when most of us typical boaters have aged out of the sport.

Re: Research released on Boating consumers

With the younger generation not interested in working they won’t be able to afford boats.

Well it’s a US opinion so we should listen right.
I think the systemic racism against us old white guys is cruel and a ploy for more guilt freebees. Until we quit with the systemic hard work then and only then can we be accepted as equals in personal accountability. Oh the shame.

I guess Harleys and Boats are going to be a thing of the past based on the prices of both of those going down , You can buy a used sailboat for next to nothing comparatively
