Re: Paint jobs.

You might just tell us where you are... costs will be slightly (!) different in Lankawi and in Los Angeles or New York.

Lots of labour involved, and labour rates differ a lot between locales.

Pensacola Shipyard - Hooks Marine Services, yes to your point, my boat was in North Miami before returning to Orange Beach, AL, and yes the rates were much higher there and the work was hit and miss!

Re: Paint jobs.

Given that the work is 90% prep (cleaning, sanding, fairing, solvent washing, taping, priming, sanding, etc.) cost is largely a function of the condition of the hull. Dark colors can be more expensive as they show flaws and orange peel much more than lighter colors.

I’d say a full professional good quality spray job in the US will start at $15k. You can probably get it cheaper overseas as labor is the primary cost.

Re: Paint jobs.

Have you looked into Vinyl wrapping? I’m looking at it as a potential option.

Re: Paint jobs.

Estimate I got was approximately $325 per linear foot (includes both sides) , with boot and shear stripes, in Awlgrip, over my current Awlgrip.
