I am considering an old small trailer-sailer, based in the UK. I currently live in the Czech Republic, and over here
boat registration is mandatory.
From what I could find out (so far),
Registration in the UK does not have the same compulsory status, so the only thing the owner can actually give me, is some kind of "sales receipt" (stating he is selling the
boat to me).
My question, to all of you experienced in these kind of paperwork, is:
What kind of paperwork should one expect, when
buying a small 30yo boat, in the UK?
Keeping in mind that I will have to register it in another country, what kind of
documentation is
mandatory, and what kind of
documentation would just be
good to have?
