The water in the Gulf of Mexico right now is upper 80s. No, I don't consider 70 to be "cold." I consider it to be WAY TOO DARN COLD!!!

I picked up a BC and belt on craigslist and started cleaning my own bottom. I figured it was like the only exercise I get and it was therapeutic.

Every time I dove the boat neighbors would come and give me names and cell numbers of their "boat boys" to do it for me. One guy even told me the boat boys were getting mad because I was stealing their business.

Wait, WTF? It's my boat. How can it be their business? - LOL..

So trust me - A white guy diving on boats in the land of brown skin sticks out like dog's balls and everyone is watching everyone.

in Antigua they are charging $10 a foot. But unless you have a work permit, its a criminal offense and they do prosecute.

At $10/FT how much is a sling haul and power wash?

In the Marquesas there were a couple young skinny German guys willing to clean your hull for food!!

fstbttms...over here in Jax...my buddy in the Marina next door has our friend diver come monthly for $80, 37' Irwin. my 39' Ketch every other month for $100.

I'm happy with his service. Our friend has 4 other divers working for him. They stay very busy between Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Fernandina Beach...lotta boats.....

Sounds about right. I have 3 divers working 400+ boats and we currently charge $2.25/foot for sailboat. San Francisco East Bay Area.
