I Found My Money Fountain: Start a Cruising School !

I see more and more sailing schools going from teaching basic sailing, to now teaching "cruising".

Hell, I can do this!

Day 1-Basic boat terminology
Day 2- Rum vs grog
Day 3-Cruiser vs live-aboard vs dreamer
Day 4-Grog vs rum
Day 5-Finding your dream boat online
Day 6-Rum!
Day 7-Port of calls that have been featured in Lats and Atts
Day 8-How to cruise on $2.99 a day
Day 9-Galley class: reheating yacht club leftovers on your engine block
Day 10-Things that are free: wind, salt water, sun
Day 11-Crimes in the US that are pick up lines in Mexico
Day 12-How to log on cruisersforum.com and start a get rich quick plan
Day 13-How to make a bailer out of anything

Who wants to sign up?

Well done.

The wind is free but to capture it is another story, as our last full set of sails was around 22k.......

I think there are two sorts of cruising people - those who learned the hard way (because they did not have all that much money) and those who have the money (and who are not really interested in learning in any 'cruising school').

I think a small beach grill / bar in a touristy location is a faster and easier way to make money while cruising.

Your curriculum appears well thought out. You are obviously highly qualified.

only one thing you left off - a really good (read - extraordinarily expensive) liability insurance policy and a team of lawyers to fight when they don't pay claims.

Too Funny ..I love it!

I found the perfect boat for your enterprise..All empty Rum bottles below the water line or stowed aboard just add to her seaworthiness..

All constructed from recycled or scavenged parts...Atlantic crossing veteran.

Own a Dutch company ; just for the lawyers in USA
Think it is a great idea.

Link/team up a few owners with good cruising boats in a few different area's of the world and offer seriously.

Qualifications based on experience ; cut the bs
