Caribbean Insurance?!

Apologies if this has been covered previously as there are many posts on insurance already...

I'm looking for information regarding insurance to cover a cat from FL to Trini. If there are carriers that offer a hurricane box rider, I'd like to hear about that as well.

There are a few companies that will cover boats in the Caribbean. Not surprisingly, rates are higher for Caribbean coverage than they are for the US & Bahamas. Rates also vary based on owner experience, hull value, vessel age, boat style, lay-up, and whether you are willing to keep the boat outside the hurricane box during the hurricane season. So asking a bunch of other folks what they are paying doesn't really help you figure out what you would pay. But if you want a quote, just drop me an e-mail.
