i had to back a dig up this old post to add what bit of info i've since gotten from one of the few yacht owners in the philippines. the one company offering insurance for philippines, south china, Malasia regions is: "Atlas" check them out i haven't gone as far as get rates for my planned 30' trawler purchase. with the scarcity of insurers out there for this region, it won't be cheap.

It has been almost 2 weeks already so maybe they are going to stand me up.

If needed, I will just carry no insurance, which is a shame.
