Did you buy it with a charter agreement? If so, did you have any issues with insurance or finding a slip?

I bought my Ericson 30 this way. No regrets. As was said the sale must be this way so the original owner who donated the boat can get the right off. As an added benefit to you, your final payment, usually 1/3 minus your deposit is what you'll be taxed on when you register it. Everyone wins. Go for it!

I don't recall any charter agreement.
