Any Suggestions on Insurance for Operating Charters

Hi all,

I've got a Lagoon 420 I'm planning to operate part time charters in Bahamas this coming year. I've just received a quote from my insurance agent who is representing Seaview Ins.

The additional premium for operating charters part time is 2850/yr plus 150/yr to cover one extra crew that the insurance company requires me to have.

This will put my insurance premium over 6000 for 350k coverage on my boat.

Does anyone have any idea if this is on par, too high? Seems rough to me, but I'm a rookie - obviously this might be a concern of the insurance underwriters.

Yes, I have uscg 100 ton license. Suggestions for who to contact for better price are welcome.

Cheers,

Rob
