Best wishes for a sunny, breezy and trouble-free season.
We are back in the water with a new shaft, new strut, new cutlass bearing, new shaft flange, new motor mounts and $10K less in the bank account.

Re: Spring is coming - When's your launch?

Its 2020 and a few months away from launch. So much to do before then. Went to the Toronto Boat Show and bought a new EV-100 wheel pilot. I hope its an early spring because my boat list is huge. New bottom sanding and paint, install the new autohelm, install/rebed new portlights, refinish the sole, etc, etc, etc. Oh and did I mention a new prop!! Really looking forward to this season as we are planing our first trip to the North Channel. Happy Sailing everyone!!!

Re: Spring is coming - When's your launch?

Ha Ha Ha... my Spring launch is usually sometime in the Summer . Mid-June in the best of years. More often late June or even early July.

But I'm kinda a wimp .

Well, our marinas are announcing April 15 as the start of launch season, assuming normal weather.

This will be our fourth season and I have absolutely no idea what normal spring weather looks like around here.

Ditto! It’s our fourth season also. We’re planning our first trip in May so I hope it’s not a repeat of last year!

Re: Spring is coming - When's your launch?

Well, I saw that this thread had new life, and then realized that I'm the one who started it a couple of years ago when I had serious cabin fever.

Like Yogi Berra said, it's deja vu all over again. I'm trying to think of spring but we're forecast to get 30 cm of snow overnight.

Yes, I know I'm living in the wrong country, but am looking for some sympathy anyway. Please send positive thoughts.

It's my turn today to plow the parking lot of our yacht club. Does that help any?

Two months to launch! The time will fly by.

Yep, it’ll be here before we know it! I was overcome by anxiety a few days ago when I realized I “only” have three months before we head up there. In fact, just like every year, it’ll be here and then gone again before we know it!

Well, just to close this one off for the season.... I am happy to announce that we launched today in near huricane conditions (or at least it felt that way). All went well !!
