Lake Ontario to the East Coast of Canada - Interested ?
Hello all,
I'm planning to go east next year and was wondering if there was any other boats going to Newfoundland in 2011? I'm planning to leave mid to end May and returning in the fall. I'm looking to see if there is any interest in a flotilla of several boats going down river. Anyone with Labrador experience?
Although my plans may change, at this point I am planning to take my 1979 Endeavour 32 through the Welland Canal, then through Lake Ontario and up the Seaway into the Maritimes. I suspect I'll need to leave my boat in Nova Scotia or Maine for the winter. Then in 2012 I'll continue south along the East Coast, maybe ending up in the Bahamas.

Hi:
if I have a boat, and nobody notices my wife missing from her kindergarten class, we are there!
Seriously, after I get a boat and know what to do with it, N&L is one of the first places I want to go. Those TV commercials from the tourism folks are very seductive, especially the Gros Morne part.

Great idea. Took my 32-foot steelketch Kuan Yin singlehanded from Toronto to southern Labrador and Newfoundland last year - great time in Rimouski, then along the north shore. If I can help with any questions etc. please ask. Some accounts of my website - search under "Voyage to Ungava".
