Great Lakes Rendezvous?

HI all,

Just curious of those friendly Great Lakes Sailors, is there any great lakes cruisers rendezvous during the summer? So far, I haven't seen much activity on the Lake Michigan waters. Have heard of stuff going on for Lake Superior or whatnot.

well, just thought I'd throw out that fun idea. Maybe if there isn't one, would be fun to see one set up.

The Great Lakes Cruising Club’s (GLCC) 2007 Rendezvous
The Great Lakes Cruising Club’s (GLCC) 2007 Rendezvous will be held at the western end of Lake Superior. The event is scheduled from July 15 through 18 at the 430-slip Barker’s Island Marina, Wisconsin, in the twin ports of Duluth and Superior.

I've met the folks from the Great Lakes Cruising Club, but to be honest, I was inquiring on a rendezvous here on Lake Michigan?

You might check with Lake Michigan Yachting Association, though I don’t see a 2007 schedule posted yet.

The GLCC is instituting a number of smaller “wilderness” events at different times and places so that more members can participate, including:
June 27 - 30: Government Bay (les Cheneaux Isls.) or Detour to Sault St Marie.
August 15 - 17: North Chanel (Hotham Isl).

I believe they usually do an annual cruise on Lake Michigan/Lake Huron

Well, if anyone wants to join us up on a circumnavigation cruise, we'll be sailing from GB July 5th through July 14 to enjoy a fun sail around Door County. So if anyone in the area wants to join us on this journey, let us know.

We can't wait to go...let summer get here!
