Great lakes

Because I am the one that came up with this area I thought I should be the first to use it. I have lived on the Great lakes all of my life (so far). My longest trip was in my Dad's 37' 1964 Chris*Craft from Holland Mi on Lake Michigan to White Fish bay in Lake Superior and all the ports in between. It was a Great trip, the one that made me want to be a live aboard! Now I plan to expand to new areas, We will start in the caribbean and go from there.

Sounds like we have similiar plans. We are hoping to leave Goderich June 2008 for points south. (open ended cruise) The Aloha 34 should do the job. Michele wanted bigger, I wanted smaller....we compromised!
Do you get up to the North Channel in the summer? We are heading up late July this year for 3 weeks. Maybe we'll see you. We have spent the last two summer vacations up there and can't wait to get back. We have chartered in the BVI's but still love the fresh water sailing up North. How big is your Irwin?

I'm not sure if we will stay in the lakes this summer, but if we do we will likely go to the north channel. Our Irwin is 61' loa, We are new to sailing so we wanted a easy boat to start out with!
