And So We Mark the End of Another....

boating season on our lil' part of the world. What a crappy summer. If you divide what we paid for mooring by the number of times we went out it cost us $100 a trip! *sigh*

I am totally impressed by the lil' Jeep! It hauled the tank up the ramp like there was nothing behind it at all. All those years we struggled with the Jimmy and this lil' tug pulls like a dozer! :-)

Both are for sale.

Bummer.

I am waiting for a little cooler weather here. The summer has been the normal - really HOT and HUMID with no wind till the thunderstorms come through.

Hoping our weekends and weeks (hope, hope) coincide with "good" weather.

When you add everything up so far, each day has cost about 20k. Hoping to lessen this.

It is a fine day when you get below 5 figures per sail.

Same neck of the woods as Knotty. Roughly $1500 for each visit this year not factoring depreciation. All told, a pretty shitty summer.

Western Washington had a GREAT summer. Gotta love that El Nino.
Other than the wettest June on record, it's still sunny most of the time. The forecast?

End of the season? What are you talking about? There's another month left!
Actually, after this summer, this has been the best sailing all season.

Our wet storage spot is under the crane so our season is first week of April until the second or third week of November-whether we like it or not.

there's a closed season for boating, diving, and fishing? Nah.....that wouldn't make sense.

Not closed, it's just that the water turns solid.

Seasons? <sigh> every year it seems just as you northerners start to post a few summer trip reports the queries about winterizing start coming out. I certainly feel for you all.

Our season is about to change from southwest monsoon to northeast monsoon. Northeast is our best sailing season. Can't wait.

At about $4800 per year / 60 days on the water we are looking at about $80 bucks a day.

PS - Rick, My vote is sell the Z-car not the boat
