Fellow Army Gun Pilot...
To each their own, I built a .204 Ruger AR15 and for prairie dogs, it's the schnizzle/bomb/ticket!
Also big .308 fan, like on the mini gun on the front of my Cobra, not as good as the 20 mike mike, but nothing beats a 30mm chain gun on an Apache!

Re: American invasion of Canada rehearsal
I have identical guns in 22-250 and .204 , just haven't worked up good loads for the .204 yet. Hadn't played with them in a few years, favorite powder is Varget and it in particular got real hard to get as did all supplies a few years ago, never did understand why.

Re: American invasion of Canada rehearsal
The 30 mm Aden / Defa round is actually not a very high velocity round, but it does work well for multipurpose, I believe the 20 mm was actually higher velocity.

It's all good when it's "HE"...
But if it absolutely, positively has to be there now, nothing beats a hellfire!

And those are just the ones working in the oil industry waiting for Trump to sign the pipeline deal on inauguration day.

Your right in that Calgary has a number of Americans, we have already made plans to push a pipeline west so we can serve Asia as America has been a little to tough to deal with. Now Trump figures US should get a piece out of everything that goes through the pipeline and if that means after it enters the States that's fine otherwise it's a pipe dream not a pipe line.

Something I have yet to get a proper answer to. Why can't Canada build a refinery up there to at least turn the tar sands oil into a lighter weight product that would not be so devastating if it were to spill??
You just might get Americans to agree to something like that if it were not such a risk to a MAJOR aquifer supplying lots of water to major farming states.
https://insideclimatenews.org/news/2...er-transcanada
And you do realize that a tar sands oil spill is a WHOLE LOT more difficult to clean up,...if ever

They were nice and we had a good visit.
They had several good sized gardens (we do also) but when they heard about our boat's electrical system with solar and LiFePo4, their ears really perked u
Keeping this on topic, we SAILED into the bay...
The store is well stocked with electronic bug zapper tennis rackets as well.
I am happy to report they work well !
So there!

Better falls? I suppose that's subjective.
From the Canadian side you get a great view of the American falls, beautiful green parkland, and a glimpse of the close, but tangential, Horseshoe Falls- all from the security of a concrete walkway fronting a noisy tourist trap.
From the American side one can walk kilometers of trails through field and forest, get a great view of the Horseshoe Falls, and on Goat Island actually touch the river just upstream from the falls. Truly a park setting.
Love you guys.

Canada has quite a few refineries. Customers like diluted bitumen over refined synthetic crude for a few reasons; it's more stable in pipelines and railcars. Yes it will make a mess when it spills but it won't explode or catch on fire like the lighter oils. Two things that are removed in the upgrader process (to prepare it for refineries) coke and sulphur, are actually fairly valuable. The coke can be burned in the powerhouse to make steam and electricity. So basically, you're powering the entire refining process for free. There is usually an excess of coke after refining that can produce power to sell to the grid, or shipped to other coal burning plants. The sulphur is mostly sold for fertiliser manufacturing. A barrel of dilbit is also cheaper than synthetic crude.
Yes messy and bad, but we like diesel for our engines and plastic for our sails. <------ see what I did there? Tied back to sailing. :^)

Let be real here......view of the falls is better from the Canadian side. That is why most Americans visiting the falls come to Canada. The American falls are better.

I also know that we humans are very bias and only hear and believe what we have been preprogrammed to hear and believe, it's just part of our makeup. We have to just accept that we are all this way. I tried to temper that somewhat by reading info from both sides during the election "Townhall" is a right wing source I read as well as the Huffington Post for the left leaner. I'm more conservative in nature and have never voted Liberal but I'd say fiscally conservative but socially more liberal.

That's because Trump did a lot of speaking off the cuff, and about himself.
Meanwhile, Clinton researched before she spoke, and it was always negative about Trump. When questioned about emails, she couldn't remember anything.
Not everyone is biased. Some people, definitely not the majority, are objective, or as objective as humanly possible. They seek the truth and vote for what's best for their country's financial future and defense of the Constitution and the improvement of our way if life.
I also believe I'm fiscally conservative and socially more liberal. I'd love to shrink the gov't to the bare minimum possible.
