Yanmar 3QM30H thermostat bracket (MA)

Hey Y'all, This may be a long shot.

I'm looking for a thermostat bracket for my Yanmar 3QM30H (part #: 121370-49171). It sits between the exhaust manifold and a bronze part with hose barbs for the cooling water. I've posted photos of the top and bottom faces of the part. The mating faces have become so pitted, its very hard to get the gaskets to seal and it's forever weeping salt down the exhaust manifold. I have a spare exhaust manifold from a 3QM30F, but the fresh water cooled version of the 3QM30 doesn't include this the thermostat bracket I need. If anyone is parting out a 3QM30H or has any ideas on the best way to have this part repaired or refabricated, I'd be happy to hear it. Thanks.

Could you fill with a high-temp filler and then fair it out flat again? https://www.powdercoatingonline.com/...stant-fillers/ https://www.permatex.com/products/ad...tex-high-temp/

No, I don't think it's possible to buy one new anywhere. I took it to a machine shop to see if they would fabricate a new one, but they weren't interested. I bought some nitrile sheet and cut custom gaskets with an exacto knife. The extra softness of the rubber vs the paper was enough to seal ours up.

Hello,

my Name is Jörg an I live in Berlin, Germany.

I have also a 3QM30 Motor and had the same problem as you.
The thermostat bracket was totally ruined.
There is no possibility to buy this part so I had to reconstruct it.
With the included .STL file any CNC manufactoring serviced can built such a bracket.
Mine was manufactured out of brass, which should be the best material in this case. I hope I can help you by putting the STL file here.
Please E-mail for the STEp file, upload is not possible...

Greetings from Germany and stay healthy!!!!

Jörg

Did anyone ever receive this file to machine a new thermostat bracket? I could use it right now here in Mexico.

pupi06 (Joerg) hasn't logged on for about 9 months.

If you go to his public profile and click on the 'Contact Info' tab, you will find an option to email the member.

There is no guarantee he is still using the same email address as he did when he joined CF.

Re: Yanmar 3QM30H thermostat bracket (MA)

Hey there 3QM30 guys - I've got a set of 3 Injector Valve assemblies left over from a boat I don't have any more. Yanmar PN 124770-53001, new in the original Yanmar bags. Not sure what I paid for them any more. If anyone is interested I'd sell all of them for $100 OBO.

Regards,
Dan and Patti
