Re: Wonder Wash washing machine
If you're going to hand wash aboard you're better off getting a wringer and forget the little "washing machine".

No they're great, lived with nothing but a similar Pressawash for 12 years with kids playing in the mud.
Daily use keeps up, not big loads.
Small amount of boiling water little soap, turn it once every few minutes while reading, results as good as the huge machines.
Store stuff in it when not in use.

Re: Wonder Wash washing machine
Vasco, if you personally don't like something for sale, there's no reason to try to dissuade others on the post where it's being sold. I doubt you would want someone saying "don't buy that, buy this instead" if you were selling something. If you want to criticize a product, start your own post. Your post is akin to going into McDonalds and putting up a sign for the Burger King across the street!
If you have something constructive to add to the post, like "I've used one and in MY circumstance it wasn't the right product", that's fine. Then define why it wasn't right FOR YOU.
I'm sure what you recommended would be a nice COMPANION to the washer, but that isn't a washer. You still have to wash. Some people prefer using a washing machine, others may prefer a bucket, or the sink.
This washing machine is a good little product that works well. It's not for everyone. But it's great for someone who wants/needs a small non-electric washer.
john61ct, thank you for your experience about how this type of washer is good and useful.

Re: Wonder Wash washing machine
Sorry, I didn't realise it was a "for sale" post before I answered. I glanced at it before going to the pic in the second post.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. Not sure how that first picture got there. And then I couldn't find a way to edit the post!

This seems to me to be advertising posing as an endorsement. It could be considered misleading, and possibly inappropriate.

Re: Wonder Wash washing machine
We carried a Wonder Wash aboard and amazingly, it really works!
It cleans dirty clothes nicely with a just small amount of water.
Even cleaned a dirty pair of blue jeans once with it...but it is far better with small loads of smaller items. Underwear, shirts, socks, shorts and such are easy to clean and quick.
We now have a combined washer dryer aboard our boat (and we use it), or we’d still be using it.

If you mean my post, bugger off I used one for decades raising kids off grid in the bush for many years, only bringing large blankets or coats into town to the laundromat.
If you mean the OP, it is very clearly posted as an explicit advertisement, in the sub forum designed for exactly that.

Re: Wonder Wash washing machine
We have one aboard and it works. Small loads work better. The only issue is storage. The drum is always in the way in some locker as you all know you have go move 3 things to get the one thing you need...right?
