Re: WANTED: Cornell Ocean Atlas Pilot Charts
I have that book....it was $45 when I bought it. The charts, etc are in the book.
Amazon has it, just type in " World Cruising Routes" and it will direct you to the book.
It is now about $59.....

Re: WANTED: Cornell Ocean Atlas Pilot Charts
Thanks guys.
But I’m specifically looking for the Cornell Ocean Atlas: Pilot Charts.
I only mentioned the other books because someone selling the Ocean Atlas may have the others to get rid of.
I don’t mind spending $60 on the new addition if the others (WCR, WCD) but the Ocean Atlas is out of print.

Re: WANTED: Cornell Ocean Atlas Pilot Charts
I have those somewhere, but it would be a mission to find them amongst all my clutter. I never paid much attention to them.
But pilot charts are available from other sources, check online for the region you are interested in, they are downloadable.
Just google " pilot charts" and you will be led to a variety of sources.

MicHughV: Let me know if you get motivated and dig them out.
I have all the downloadable versions. I am specifically looking for the updated Cornell book. Thank you.

This gives them an edge that reflects changes in weather patterns due to climate change, and more data for areas lightly travelled by commercial shipping. I wish we'd had them twenty years ago!

Exactly. Thank you for posting. I almost bought the book a couple years back and now that I would like it for planning a South Sea's cruise, its out of print. So the search begins!

Re: WANTED: Cornell Ocean Atlas Pilot Charts
Paradise Cay (paracay.com) has the second edition. $79.95. Probably worth it. I am keeping my first edition for nostalgia's sake. Good luck and fair winds.

Re: WANTED: Cornell Ocean Atlas Pilot Charts
my book is dated...um..lemme see here....there is a sign on the dust cover, if bought pre-1992....$39.95.....post 1992, it went up to $49.95. I can't remember exactly what year I got it, but I'm thinking, 1987, when it first came out or shortly thereafter, as I would have never have spent $50 on a book back in those days..
The pilot charts are rolled up with my other paper charts...I will make an effort to locate them....but I have many, many rolls of paper charts, but I'll give it a go and get to you.

Re: WANTED: Cornell Ocean Atlas Pilot Charts
MichughV
That is very kind of you, but please dont worry about- thats pretty dated information compared to the 2nd edition of Cornells Ocean Atlas which is updated through 2016 with satellite and buoy data. I am not interested in the classic pilot charts as those are already on my computer.
Its worth the $80 to me.
Thank you everyone!!
