This NZ 50 footer seems very cheap

Let me know, or correct me if this thread is in the wrong place. Let me know if the assumptions herein are offbase.

Here is a 48ft Birdsall names "Fleetwing", that will sell by internet auction in the next 18 hours -- at 0934 hours this Friday NZT.

The current bid is $NZ 10,350 - About $US 6,000. That will probably go up.

If someone who is compatible wants (what seems to me) to be a real bargain, and has the money for: the purchase, berthage, a contribution to costs, a contribution to bringing her up to ocean standard, then PM me to make a time to talk on the phone so we can work out a plan inculding the detailed practicalities. No tyre kickers please. Note I have not inspected this boat.

I do have a berth suitable for "Fleetwing" for the forseeable future. The berth is a 4 day coastal sail (12 hour road trip) from her current location.

The purchaser may be looking to cruise NZ and the South Pacific in her next year. Who knows?

The listing is on www.trademe.co.nz.
Search for the current Listing #: 2634654454
And for more detail the previous (expired) listing number Listing #: 2643648758

I saw your post; can't survey a yacht from thousands of miles away....or buy another when i am still fixing the one I have....or travel to a country that won't let me in....
