For Sale: Sydney -A&B/RC Plath? bronze windlass

I’m in NSW, Australia.

I have a chrome plated bronze manual windlass for sale. I guess it’s the ABI copy of the RC Plath. There isn’t an ABI logo on the end of the rope gypsy.The chrome plating is worn in a fair few places. It has a 8mm gypsy/wildcat- there is an 8 on it. There is a single deck pipe with lid under the gypsy/wildcat. It seems to work well. There is no handle but I’ll include a very large cleat suitable for a mooring line. It is also chrome plated bronze with the chrome quite worn. It’s about 8 inches long. Unfortunately there’s a slight half inch gouge on top of the cleat.

I bought this a while ago to replace a Simpson-Lawrence Hi-Speed but never got around to installing it and I’ve decided to persist with the far less attractive but much lighter S-L.

This is really heavy (49 lbs) so freight isn’t really possible. Im in Port Stephens. I could possibly deliver to Sydney or mid North Coast for hybrid petrol money.

Perfect for a Westsail 32, wooden boat or classic fibreglass boat. As you know, these are extremely hard to find.
