Re: Storm jib - virtually new PRICE REDUCED $399

What is the LP of this sail - that will tell me if it will fit my boat. I know I could figure it out with math, but my math is not dependable.

I don't know what you have there but it isn't a storm jib, unless it's off a 70 footer. More like a #4 or #5 from something smaller.

It's still too big for me.

Ah, good catch Savior. Let's change the title to "30-44 knots, I sure am glad I have this sail and what the heck am I doing out here" jib.

Could really be interested, but did not see your prior post. Please send the photos, or a link to the previous post.

Re: Storm jib - virtually new PRICE REDUCED $399

10 oz cloth for an 185 sq foot sail...heck of a yankee! and it would fly awfully tight to deck for a yankee with only an 18" pennant.

Amazes me why some people feel compelled to chime in on another's offering in which they have no transactional interest.

20 ft along the foot and 11.5ft LP. It's a yankee albeit a heavy one.

Re: Storm jib - virtually new PRICE REDUCED $399

Excellent, thanks so much for the refinement of my post. As it stands now from the contributions of my consultants, it is a “"30-44 knots, I sure am glad I have this sail and what the heck am I doing out here" “bigger than my 155” yankee jib, maybe a storm jib if you are flying it in 45 knots or more.”

Please do continue to refine this post so we can drive the views into the thousands. I would really like to sell this nice sail, and it will be a sweet bargain for anyone who has priced out what a new sail like this costs. Of course I would never sell it to an ignorant newbie who has no idea what he is buying. And our friends here will make sure you don’t do that. Back to you, boys.
