Simpson Lawrence SL500 Bronze Manual Windlass
Hello Cruisers,

I bought this heavy duty manual windlass and then took the time to disassemble and replace all of the oilite bronze bearings (Mcmaster Carr) in it and re-grease with synthetic "waterproof" grease.

Works very smooth.

We decided to go with a Sea Tiger 555. This is for a big boat and heavy tackle. Hope to see it go to a great home.

The windlass is in Seminole FL. Auction starts at $549.

Looks to be a similar footprint to the 555, is it?

I do not have the 555 to compare it to yet. I could take measurements if you like. I do not think they are the same, the SL500 seems wider.
