Sea-built 8" Tank Inspection/Access Plate

Sea-built 8" Tank Inspection/Access Plate made 6061-T6 aluminum. Brand new, unused, still packaged.

These Sea-built plates allow the addition of inspection plate to an already constructed plastic, steel, or aluminum tank. Use for diesel, freshwater, or blackwater tanks. Full info here: Seabuilt - Access Plate Systems

Selling it because it turned out my diesel tank was already clean as a whistle and I don't have an immediate need to cut a hole in it. Prices online range from $165-200 plus shipping. I will sell for $140 + actual shipping.

Resurrection alert - just on the off chance you might still be looking to get rid of this? Doesn't look like the previous offer ever worked out?

Well, it did work out. Will and I made a trade..... my cash for his inspection port. It has been on our tank for the last year, I installed it so we could get our fuel polished. I'm answering because Will is currently sailing the carribean (YouTube, "Monday Never") and may or may not have internet.

Thank you Will!!! It was a nice clean install, complete with a compliment from my fuel polisher on where I placed it.

Good to hear W.T. I'll just fork it out for a new one. Good to hear the install went well and it works.

May I ask how you found your perfect spot for the install?
Was your tank baffled? If so, how'd you find and avoid the baffles when installing the port?
I can just barely see inside my tank through the sender gauge hole.

Our tank is 100 gallons. It's about 6 feet long, some type of polymer, with no baffles. I didn't place in the center, but rather about 2 feet from the one end. That way with a short pole (the polisher used one of thoser gripper extentions used for grabbing something from top shelf) the nastyness could be pulled down where it could be reached by hand to remove. And wow wee did we have a bunch of nastyness left behind as a gift from previous owner. I even have video of what stopped the flow of fuel in our Racor when I disassembled it. Diesel Bug is no joke, it will stop your motor cold. We treat our fuel every fuel fill now to stop moisture. No water, no bug.

I've never done a metal tank, so I can't guide you there.
