Sarca Excel No4

Hi. I have a Sarce Excel which was privately imported by me into the UK along with a dozen other Sarcas for various friend and sailing contacts.
This example was my spare and has never been wet, in fact never been out of my garage.
For sale at GBP £500 plus shipping ie you organise a courier to collect it.
I think this is a bargain buy for what arguably is the best anchor available.

Note Anchorright's recommendations on boat size/weight per anchor are for worst (hurricane) conditions.

If you have any questions about that statement, check this forum or google: "Plow VS Spade Anchor" and see for yourself. They fall well short of modern spade for holding power and ease/reliability of set.

That is not to say this is not a high quality version of a great tried and true design that for most people (weekend warrior types) would give wonderful and reliable service. But I felt your statement was a bit unfair as the uneducated might find it misleading.
And BANG, just like that, a simple thread about a bargain purchase opportunity for a new anchor gets shifted towards an off-topic debate about which anchor is the best design.

Suggestion to all: If your not interested in purchasing the good being offered, please don't post replies, allow the forum to be a open market for those that are in the market for a product.

There be a gazillion threads discussing and comparing every imaginable anchor that one can read and contribute to. Look at: Threads in Forum : Anchoring & Mooring

Thanks for sharing your opinion I guess- I'll let you know if I care. Dont see how my comment effects the "Open Market" of the forum. A good quality anchor is still for sale.

Personally when I am selling something I appreciate any and all comments made as it bumps my thread up to the top.
