Raymarine Autopilot parts

My Raymarine autopilot brain has died and after unsuccessfully trying two used Type 100/300 computers, I will replace the whole system. I have a Raymarine ST6002 controller and Raytheon Fluxgate compass for sale. I would like to get $350 for the controller and $100 for the compass. Buyer pays shipping from area code 34997 (Stuart FL)

Re: Raymarine Autopilot parts

I have left the system installed in case someone local wants to see it work. I will include the partially functional (it will not direct a turn to starboard) Type 100 ECU for shipping costs. If you want it.

Re: Raymarine Autopilot parts

I would have thought the correct course computer for the ST6002 would have been a S1, S2G or S3G.

When I installed mine, initially would only direct a turn to port until I switched the power leads to the drive... Weird but its documented!

What is the failure you are seeing? I have a type 300 that failed a couple of years ago. It was a known problem by Raytheon back in the day, which I found out by some googling. I also found the repair instructions which was to solder a diode between two points on the controller board. It's been an working ever since.

Thank you gentlemen for your interest. Raymarine tech support says you can use Type 100/300, S1G or an X10 course computer with the ST6002. Also I considered trying to repair the computer but in the end after trying two used computers which did not work I went with a new Garmin system.

New price $300 for the controller and $75 for the compass. Or make me an offer. I need to remove them from the boat next week to install a new system.
