Rainman 120V High Output watermaker $1,500

This Rainman with the naked high-output RO is about $5,100 new. It's the 120V version.
In storage 2 years. I acquired it from a boat client as payment for other work. It came with the boat that he bought, and he doesn't use or need the watermaker.
I would suspect that the RO membranes may need replacing. If they don’t then that’s a bonus. This is a consumable part anyway so they are available from Rainman.

It makes 37 gallons an hour per specs.

It looks in excellent condition except there is a broken plastic hose coupling, and there is rust on the stainless connections at 1 end of the RO. I have not tested the unit in any way except that the pump runs, which I did for 2 seconds only so as not to run it dry.

If you put $600 into it to make it run like new, it would still be $3,000 less than a new one.

Can send more more pics and video to your email, if genuinely interested in purchasing.

If I have to ship it, will require packaging at a shipping store plus freight at buyer expense. Won't be cheap, as the unit weights like 80 lbs I am guessing. No returns. At $1,500, you're taking it as is :-).

If you send me a check, I will have to wait for it to clear of course before shipping. I don’t have PayPal or any other like it. Would be great if you are in So Cal and can come see it in person and pick it up.

Update: I will be creating a PayPal account, so you can use that method if you like.
I was going to edit the ad but there is apparently a time limit.
The Rainman is located in Dana Point Harbor, CA.

Can you send me photos of the broken connection and rust to sailatlantis @ gmail?

I know shipping will be expensive - I just shipped a 60 pound windlass across the country.

Yes I will. Also posting here.
I just now spent 3 minutes cleaning the RO tube ends, and took these 2 pics. It appears that the aforementioned rust issue may be a non-issue. The rust came off on the rag, as it should with good stainless. The rust bits still visible are only where I couldn't immediately reach it with the rag.

The plastic coupler is certainly failed, looks like in 2 spots there. A nearly no-cost repair I would think.
These are high res pics so you can zoom.
