wow...never even hoped for so much great information! Must post quickly my appreciation but will get back to these recent posts when more time. Much appreciated. Wish i were better able to take up on some of the suggestions--I live in rural Philippines where I've been super lucky to've found this one, conscientious, repair man to continually fiddle with the pallet fork but increasingly even the wakes of passing fishing boats have jiggled it out of alignment, or I've messed up with the winding (which needs it more and more often), but he hasn't a clue where to find parts so it's my job to track this down. And I will. With all this wonderful feedback from everyone! THANKS SO MUCH!
