Natures Head Composting Toilet - Used Excellent Cond

We have a very nice condition Natures Head Composting toilet that we used for about 6mos. It was purchased directly from Natures Head and will come with original invoice. Will include everything you need to install and use including mounting brackets and the standard length vent hose. It will be cleaned and sanitized thoroughly before shipment.

Pickup available in Tampa Bay Area.

These retail for $960 with Shipping.

I’d like to sell for $500 plus shipping. Shipping should run $50-100 in the US.

Please send me a message if interested or with any questions.

May I ask why you are selling? We were thinking of getting one and have been looking for opinions/reviews.

My experience with AirHead over last couple seasons: mostly positive regarding the bioscience of composting; plus easy to use, no odor at all, small aerating fan draws almost nothing, and obviously no black water tank or plumbing.
One drawback to composting can/has been tiny fleas, like fruit fly-type of small insects. I've followed instructions by manufacturer with screens on inlet/outlet. Next season, using a suggestion from this forum, I will had a bit of diatomaceous earth to the coconut husk composting medium, and maybe not as much water (dryer medium is suggested). Both DE and coconut bricks available at garden centers, and are cheap ($2/per).
I wonder if any AirHead owners have found the attachment straps/hardware devices to be flimsy? I've had to replace most of the joint attachments including the propriety toilet seat in just two years of seasonal use, and six years of ownership. Not a big deal, just annoying, as the structure of the unit is thoroughly strong.
Otherwise, I would heartily endorse composting for cruisers.

following, as holding tanks aboard are challenging at best but not very happy with the thought of composting, for many reasons

Thumbs up Re: Natures Head Composting Toilet - Used Excellent Cond

They might not be for everyone, but after using a Nature’s Head for the past 4 years, I would never go back to a conventional system.

Re: Natures Head Composting Toilet - Used Excellent Cond

Hi all, we currently have two heads, both with Nature Head toilets. We are a live-aboard family of six, and the only reason we are getting rid of one is the urine disposal. We were disposing every day or two. That was too often for us.

But other than this, the toilet was as advertised. Almost no smell (the urine smells more than solids, which unbelievably do not smell at all). If we had less people, especially 1-2 folks, I would highly recommend these toilets. I think that is where they really work as intended.

The urine side of C-heads can now be plumbed direct to a holding tank. It's so easy to empty I'm not sure of the benefit but it is an option.
