I HAVE A LEAKAGE FROM THE SEA WATER PUMP. I REPLACE THE GASKET, BUT STILL LEAKAGE. THE SHAFT FOR THIS PUMP IS VP 3582511 SPARE PART. COSTS 358.75e ANY IDEA IF POSSIBLE TO SAVE A PART OF THAT AMOUNT?

The weakness of this pump is the shaft itself. In fact it wears out prematurely and in addition to replace the shaft, seals and bearings, you need to align the shaft with a specific alignment tool(885038).

P.s. Same procedure applied to the Perkins Prima M50. Perkins parts are compatible and usually less expensive.
