For Sale: Lewmar 30 2 Speed, Self Tailing Winches

Bought these for my boat but they are just too big.

Pair of Lewmar 40 Self Tailing, 2 speed winches. Aluminum Drum, Chrome stripper, Like new. These sell for $1200 a piece at West Marine. Im selling for $1500 for the pair.

These 2 speed winches are in beautiful shape and would really look like jewelry on the deck of your boat. They are in great working order - they turn very nicely in both directions (high and low speeds) and click as they should. These are very clean inside. These will provide you with many many decades of use! These are nice powerful winches - with a 40:2 Power ratio in the low gear! They will be great for any number of applications on your sailboat. They are a huge upgrade over non self tailing winches!!!! These are much safer to to use than traditional winches, because they allow you to keep you hands off of the rope when it is under load on the drum! The list price on two of winches like this is over $2500.

Or you can just wait until Lewmar has one of their biannual Two- for-One winch sales, usually at $&@# Marine.......couldn’t bring myself to actually type it out.

Just out of curiosity, what size winch are you selling?

The thread title says they are 30s, but then you say in the message body they are 40s. Please clarify the winch size.
There isn't much physical size difference between the 30 & 40 and rare to hear someone having too much power in their winches.
