Yes it is, however, the
electric motor and the speed reducer is not the same. I owned a 160 and when compared to the 80 that one of my friend owned, mine is twice faster and... noisy!
The 160 use the SW30-2521 easily available on the market at a fair
price instead of the twos proprietary version used in the 80.
I’ve heard that in some versions of the 80, the inlet/outlet valves were smaller but if the o rings dimensions are 7/8x11/16x3/32, they are the same.
One last word to finish , if you upgrade the 160 by swapping the SW30-2521 membrane and housing with the SW30-2540, you’ll get 50% more
water production (10 gal/hr) without consuming additional
power. The feed
water flow rate being 80 gal./hr, this is over the minimum concentrate flow rate ( 1 GPM) rated for 2.5 inches Dow Filmtec membranes.
