I’m looking for a leeson pump 12v

I’m looking for a leeson pump 12v 1/2 to 1 hp if anyone has a used unit they’re willing to sell In good condition. Or similar motor to fit onto a general pump for a watermaker. If anyone knows of other good Suitable brands I’d appreciate any advice

Thanks

Trying to think, they were used on those old school R12 expensive refrig units in boats. At about 1/2 hp on the one I had. Wonder who might have a graveyard for that stuff? A marine refrig place that's been around forever?
I assume you just want a quality 12v DC motor.

Nice lead I’ll start looking into it, yes I want a quality 12v pump for a general pump as part of a water maker system. My current leeson pump is 120v and requires a 3000 watt generator to run - not ideal for me.

Re: I’m looking for a leeson pump 12v

The old Glacier Bay fridge used to use a similar, very large, 12v motor to drive the compressor. Several years ago, when I was looking for some repair parts, I think that <www.rparts.com> had the motors listed as a repair part. But they were very pricey.

Previous message got truncated. Try www dot rparts dot com. At one point they had the motors listed as a spare part.

Dear JBas, the motor used on your watermaker pump is a standard 56C frame. Just do a search on EBay for 1 hp 1800RPM, 12 Volts DC motor. Lesson make some for around 500$, generic version around 150$-200$.
