HYDROVANE

I have a used five years old Hydrovane system complete with the rudder and the vane, with a spare light weight vane. But to fit to another sailboat, you would need a stainless steel tube to fit your transom, cost new 7K, offers around 2.5/3k considered.Must collect, I am in Florida USA

Good Morning Oceanskimmer,
I am interested in your Hydrovane. I sail a 36' Allied Princess.

I understand there will be some modifications to the mounting system.
Would you be able to have a conversation about the details.
My Phone # is : 518- 755 2659
Looking forward to hearing from you
Gary

Re: HYDROVANE

I bought a used Hydrovane and retrofitted to my boat. The one i bought came from the smaller boat, so the shaft was to short. I bought 2 inch SS tubbing and Duplex alloy 1 1/2 or 1 1/4 round bar somewhere on line. The cost was about $400 for the SS and the machine shop charged me $150 to machine the ends. To buy them from hydrovane would be around $2000 plus shipping from Canada.

Re: HYDROVANE

Not yet. That would be to many holes to patch on my transom. I installed it 4 years ago and haven't use it yet. To lazy to pack the dinghy on the fordeck for that and the hydraulic autopilot doing a great job

Re: HYDROVANE

It is just another scam. When I made contact with him he was way to aggressive on me sending any amount of money via PayPal to the point of asking 4 times a day. Stay away!
