The short answer may come down to personal preference.
The longer answer is:
My LiFePO
battery is made up of individual cells and a BMS rather than the "drop-in replacement style." My understanding is that this charger allows for charge configuration based on
battery type but not the fine-grained control I would like. For example, I do not believe I can configure this charger to not have a long-tail float charge.
My plan is to configure each
charging source to charge using the exact profile I prefer for my LiFePO cells and to only rely on the BMS to cut-off
charging if an over-charge situation occurs rather than as a matter of course. I know that others may have a different approach to the use of
lithium batteries.
