Garmin GPSMAP 3206 and associated bits

Garmin GPS system including
- GPSMAP 3206
- external GPS antenna
- GSD 22, network and transducer interface unit, transducers not included
- all cables.

System came on a used boat. I used it for a season until I had time to install a new unit I had already purchased for another boat. Everything I tested on it worked perfectly.

$350 plus cost of shipping.

Available for pickup in MA or will carry back to FL in a few weeks.

Do you have any of the Florida and Bahamas Charts to go with this?

I think all the standard US charts (and Bahamas) are built in but I have only used it in New England and local, detailed charts are there. I can go power it up and pan to confirm.

I did a quick scan and it shows ICW and detailed charts for the places I checked in FL: Lake Worth Inlet, Biscayne Bay, Government Cut.

In the Bahamas a quick scan showed medium detail IE depth markings on the banks and main channels but no detail in the few harbors I checked: Green Turtle, Nassau Harbor and Bimini. Basically marked land and water inside the harbors with no depth or detail.

Found a taker for the GPS, but he's confirming that the wiring is compatible with his old unit.

Once that is decided I'll post whether it's sold or available again.

Re: Garmin GPSMAP 3206 and associated bits

Jumping in here to let folks know that we have purchased Skip's Plotter et al as a replacement for our 2006c that suffered "Black Screen Death" (tho' the rest of the device continued to work and send data to our 'puter) and Garmin couldn't/wouldn't do a screen replacement. Skip kindly shipped the Plotter, only, to us--without advance payment--to allow us to confirm that the cables for both systems were compatible, which they proved to be. With a bit of fiddling with software up-dates (Garmin subjects one to an amazing amount of brain damage to accomplish anything if one has a "discontinued" product) we've managed to get it working properly for our needs for the moment.

Now, if anyone knows where I can come up with an old style Garmin Chip for HXUS010R, we are in the market!

Hi svHiLyte. Thanks for posting this for me. Have been on the run the last couple of days and just didn't get around to it.

Yesterday it took me 20 hours to get from Martha's Vineyard back to FL......... on an AIRPLANE! That's about what it takes to drive it.
