Furuno Navnet radar/chartplotter

I replaced my working Furuno Navnet radar of 16 years with a new model. I have the radar dome, chart plotter/MFD, and weatherfax module for sale to a good home $200 in the Annapolis area.
I also have the radar mast mount that went with it. Stainless for $100.
I don't know if there are charts in the unit as I didn't ever use the chart plotter (very dated compared to an iPad). The radar was great and worked fine on removal. Weatherfax was never used properly as I didn't have the Sirius antenna needed but the unit did work although without an antenna.

36 miles. Not sure of the draw as it was always on with all the other instruments. The manual says it is 4kW but I don’t know if you can translate that into any usable usage number.

Re: Furuno Navnet radar/chartplotter

How long is the cable? I see a pic with a lot of wires out from shielding. What is involved with reconnecting them in a new installation? Have you a pic of the bottom of radome so I can see if would fit on the mount of my Vigil radar? Thanks

Re: Furuno Navnet radar/chartplotter

The wire from the radar is from the spreaders. Maybe 30 ft. The wire from the mfd is about 25 ft. They connect in the middle.
The bottom has the standard 4 hole mount. They still sell the radar unit so here is the link to a diagram with the measurements.

Re: Furuno Navnet radar/chartplotter

To connect in the middle there was just two small wire connectors that had 8-10 spots each that joined the wires by color. I didn’t waterproof it or anything for my installation it worked fine. You may want to go with some deutsch connectors if you are worried about moisture.

No they wouldn’t take it since it was not color. Went in the dumpster.
