Fortress FX-23 Anchor

Fortress anchor in barely used condition (still has store stickers on it). It came with my boat purchase last fall and has proven to be too big.

This anchor is suitable for vessels 39 to 45 feet.

US$225 + shipping from Rockland Ontario. Shipping weight < 20 lbs

Payment in advance by paypal.

thanks

Jim

'Course it's up to you but are you sure you want to sell it? It is a very good anchor for not much weight or stowage hassle IMO.

Re: Fortress FX-23 Anchor

Rather than selling, it might be wiser to keep the anchor, broken down in a stowaway bag (about $95.00 at Defender), for use in storm conditions. They really are very good anchors and once broken down and bagged, take little room to store.

FWIW...

Re: Fortress FX-23 Anchor

I have the FX-23 as my third/spare/emergency/stern anchor. I keep it on a bracket on my stern pushpit, but in the bag it's extremely compact, and it takes about 30 seconds to assemble.

I would keep it, unless your plan is to find an FX-16. After all, you can never have too big an anchor.

I have an FX-23 and would like to see a homemade bracket. I can't hang both anchors from the bow rollers at the same time as they hit each other.

There are adjustable brackets made for Danforths that I believe will work for the Fortress
