Re: For Sale Ample Power Next Step Regulator
Caution. That says right on it that it is a battery combiner, not an alternator regulator. Completely different animal.

I've used one of these for years... simple, effective and reliable, and easy to set up, unlike many of its competitors.

Re: For Sale Ample Power Next Step Regulator
Thanks Jim, you are correct, it is a regulator WITH the optional circuity to operate a combiner solenoid.
The label makes it clear.

Re: For Sale Ample Power Next Step Regulator
OK, apparently, I am wrong. I have an Ample power regulator and an Ample power battery combiner - two separate units. Still using the regulator, installed in 1992. The combiner is sitting in a locker, long ago replaced by a voltage controlled relay type combiner.

Me too, from 1993.
Simple unit, easy to hook-up, always works.
Also have one of their PSC-30 power supplies from ~the same vintage, it holds the engine starting batteries, (2-31s,) at 13.4 when I feel like turning it on.
