it's metal, however I have discovered I cannot mail with cartridges. It's considered an explosive and not 100% I can ship the gun, but I am willing to try. thanks

I could ask an FFL dealer to receive it for me. But if it is 12 ga, it might be considered a short-barreled (called "sawed-off") shotgun. Thanks. But I don't need it.
