The owner of Cruise RO is very helpful and has great customer service. Even though I didn't purchase this unit from Rich, he's still answered all of my questions.
It really is a great water maker, but I'm installing lots of solar so a small 12v unit is a better fit for me.

I wish my 12v HRO wasn't such a frankenstein's monster of a unit, I'd happily trade. I've never seen anyone wish for less output from their watermaker .

You're comparing apples with oranges. Not all 20gph watermakers are created equal. This is a reasonable price for a very well designed and built watermaker. It you price out the exact components used in this system, you would find that you couldn't build it yourself for what he asking. Not to mention the scores of hours spent researching, ordering, and assembling.

Hey....I recognize that unit....

The buyer of it will get my 7 day a week cell phone number and I'll treat the new owner just like he bought it from me.

[I have no affiliation with the seller but know the unit of course]

Now that's customer service!
The watermaker is currently pickled as I was doing some traveling last week. I'll be in Newport, RI until the end of July then down to NJ.

I believe real easy to convert to a 30 gl per hour unit too, with no more power consumption, it's pretty much just add a second membrane I think

Yep....for $855 we sell a SM20 to SM30 upgrade kit or since there are no proprietary parts on our system keep an eye out for someone selling a 40" pressure vessel and membrane on the cheap.

Hey just because I sell water makers doesn't mean I'm not a cheap cruiser myself always looking to save a few bucks...
