[SOLD] Complete Autopilot system - hydraulic linear drive raymarine type 3

I would like to swap my below deck type 3 hydraulic linear drive autopilot system for a self steering wind vane in excellent condition.

The autopilot system is complete and 100% operational. It includes:

- Raymarine Type 3 hydraulic linear drive system. ( Hydraulic pump, lines, ram and hydraulic fluid container)

-Raymarine smart pilot course computer

-Raymarine compass unit

-Bronze tiller arm to connect hydraulic ram to rudder stock.

-Raymarine control head unit.

I am swapping to a windvane/tiller pilot system in favour of the lower power consumption and I cannot afford both systems.

The hydraulic autopilot system is for boats up to 35 tons.

Our boat is 25 tons. We used this autopilot exclusively for our Atlantic crossing and it works great.

Anyone who is interested can pm me and I am more than happy to send high quality pics of the entire system.

Ideally I would like to swap this for a used self steering gear in excellent shape.

I'm also open to selling the autopilot.

Used wind vanes are very rare one was posted a few weeks back but it was a scam ..

There are a few around - but I just thought I would try my luck. Maybe someone recently bought a boat with a windvane and they would prefer a below deck heavy duty autopilot. $1900 for the autopilot system

Are you talking Gross Registered Tons (GRT) on the documentation or the actual weight of the boat? My boat is 68GRT but actually only weighs 45,550lbs. fully loaded (heavy ship), including 1,650lbs. of people aboard.

You can pick up a good vane at a lot less than this system. I bought my Hydrovane last year, the newest model for $1800 including shipping from Hawaii to Georgia
