What??

https://www.hodgesmarine.com/blu8084...SABEgKvA_D_BwE

$684 BRAND NEW.

Why would anyone pay $500 for this used when it’s $684 brand new? With the right labels to put on for the buyer’s particular installation and everything?

Another source. $621 BRAND NEW

How many breakers are included at these prices, and how much does a breaker cost?

Otherwise, scammer alert. No offense to OP, but recently joined talking about selling stuff. To the OP, please consider adding details to your photos to help lend assurance that the deal is real (understanding that scamming is too common online and recently here).

Re: Blue Sea Systems 8084 Circuit Breaker Panel

Perhaps I am at fault for not listing each component, but when comparing the panel in the photo with the ads, there are 7 additional breakers and the AC Insulating back cover.

Hodges has the panel at $684.59 plus AC isolation cover #4029 at $92.00=$776.59 without the extra 7 switches. If you use the Amazon breaker price= $114.73, total = $891.32

Defender has panel @ $679.99, cover @ $99.99, and 7 additional breakers @ $16.99 each for $118.93. Total: $899.81

Amazon has panel @$736.99, panel @ $104.15 and 7 extra breakers @ $16.34 for $114.73. Total=$955.87

The panel was used 3 seasons and is like new.

Forum guidelines require you to post your location (in the sticky).

Given the frequency of scams and your new-to-the-forum status, it'd help your cause by at least additionally including something in your photos like a note on paper "for sale on cruisersforum" or some such.

Re: Blue Sea Systems 8084 Circuit Breaker Panel

I don’t understand why some calls this a scam. Maybe I’m wrong but J hinders is trying to sell an electric panel at a price he is confortable to sell. If you’re interested, you can make an offer and if the price doesn’t work for you, you’re free to buy it somewhere else, no?

Re: Blue Sea Systems 8084 Circuit Breaker Panel

Thank you. I have had a couple of interested parties so far, despite the negative comments.

We are calling it a scam for the following reasons.

1) op just became a member and is immediately posting for sale items.

2) has now listed the items location

3) has multiple new posts on items for sale, some being the same item.

4) gives now clear information that the items are real or from found online photos.

5) there have recently been a bunch of repeat scams here on the forum.

I’m not trying to be a jerk. But it smell fishy. My deepest apologies if I’m wrong OP

Re: Blue Sea Systems 8084 Circuit Breaker Panel

I didn't realize I had to wait a probationary period before posting an item for sale. Sounds like my main problem is that I am new on the site. As I said in my profile, our '74 Newport 30 dismasted last Fall and therefore we have some items to sell. I already sold our Origo 6000 stove on a thread where people were asking where they could find one. My only "for sale" post was for the electrical panel and, again, I have had private messages from interested buyers. They seem pleased with our exchanges. I don't feel like I should have to continue to defend myself.

This is unbelievable!
I mean, who appointed you sherrif? Even the guy that was on here posting about being scammed recognized that there was enough indication for him to realize it was a scam.

This posting, not so sure?
Theirs not too many stock photos of a clearly decommissioned panel that can be used for such an elaborate scam.
The first photos was taken seemingly in the parking lot, the the photo of the rear (im pretty sure its the same panel) was taken on what looks to be dining room table.
I would say that gives me a certain high confidence that the guy actually has the panel in his possession.

Come on, give the guy a break. You've warned all off us - if we're suckers and still fall for it, most of us are big boys - we can handle it......

OP, I am sorry for being aggressive. It’s just been a thing lately.

I’m not trying to be a jerk. Maybe a bit trigger happy so just as in the first post, I’ll repeat my apologies if I’m wrong.

We have had people creating new accounts and then immediately selling items and taking hundreds and even thousands of dollars from other CF members. Stock Photos are pulled from eBay or whatever showing used items and it’s kinda technical stuff.

I do admit, that I don’t think a thief would go through the amount of trouble I have dished out.
