Adler Barbour Super Cold Machine and Power Plate

Up for sale - Working Adler Barbour Super Cold Machine compressor with air/water condenser, Power Plate holding plate and thermostat.
I pulled this out of my previous boat before selling. Unfortunately (for me), the cold plate doesn't fit in the icebox in my new boat.

The condenser can be air or water cooled. It has not been used with water cooling, so no concerns about corrosion. It has the newer/current (larger) line quick connects that seal when the lines are disconnected.

New prices for the compressor unit are ~$1300 and $1500 for the cold plate.
Asking $1100 obo plus shipping. I can demonstrate it working if you come pick it up in Bellingham, WA.

Is the compressor engine driven? I’m asking because you don’t mention an AC or DC power source requirement.

Re: Adler Barbour Super Cold Machine and Power Plate

It is set up for 12VDC. The compressor and motor controller will work with 12 or 24VDC, but the fan and relay for a water pump are 12V.

If you're looking for an engine driven system, I also have an engine driven compressor and 2 large eutectic holding plates. Those haven't been used in about 15 years. The holding plates should be fine, but not sure about the compressor, quite probably the seals won't be good.

What are the dimensions of the cold plate?

Actually, I’m looking for a 12Vdc unit. I’m down in Anacortes, also standing by for the coldplate measurements. ~E

The A/B Power Plate (cold plate) is 19" wide x 11" high x 1" thick. (The pic in the first post doesn't appear to show it in the correct orientation (it was laying flat on a table)). It's intended to mount to a wall with tubing coming out horizontally at the top corner of the vertical (short) side.

Is this the newer unit with the quick connect refrigerant fittings?

It has quick connects that seal when disconnected. Aeroquip 5505-06 (female), 5502-06 (male).

Note: I believe these cross with Parker 5502-04B-06 (1/4 x 3/8 male) and 5505-04B-06 (1/4 x 3/8 female)
