I'm starting to think maybe the HIGHFIELD might be the way to go. Doing some more research on those now!
Did all this last year about this time and ended up with a Highfield. Make sure you get the one with the flat floor.

Re: 10' aluminum rib dinghy

Thanks Vasco.
(How do you travel Toronto to Bahamas, out the Trent Severn to Erie canal?)
Question on Highfield? Did you by chance get the 310? With Aluminum hull? Do you know the weight of the 310? Marine Warehouse in Miami doesn't give the weight for that one?Do you recommend a dealer, if not Marine Warehouse? What size ob are you using?
Thanks for your time!
Geoff

I got the CL310 in Hypalon. 110 pounds. 15 hp Yamaha 2 stroke.
Classic 310 - Highfield Boats

The internal room seems a bit less than my old AB. AB Lite 10'06" . But overall I really prefer this to my old fiberglass RIB. Check out all the features on the Highfield like lifting rings etc. Much better designed than most dinks.

Re: 10' aluminum rib dinghy

Thanks again Rick
I'll call Inflatable Boat Pro and Marine Warehouse tomorrow. Looks like they both are dealers.
Really like this boat. The Inmar and the AB both adv. weight of 95, but at 110lbs this is still pretty good and I like all the extras.
Sweet.

Re: 10' aluminum rib dinghy

Force 4 dinghies.

These are the very popular New Zealand made RIB's with detachable inflatable collars. After 10 years the collar on mine was reaching the end of its usable life but when tried to replace it I was disappointed to discover that Force 4 no longer existed. I am pleased to say that Feral Inflatables in South Africa now make replacement collars and because of the slide on design they can be shipped any where in the world. They are of very high quality with thermo welded seams using the same PVC as the original. Currently only the 3.1m is readily available but other sizes can be made.

Contact Feral Inflatables +27 (0) 39 978 22 11 or website Feral Inflatables - Fully & Rigid Inflatable Boats | Re-Pontooning - Home Page

I have no commercial involvement with the company just a satisfied customer. Peter - Tigger
